Job summary

Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Pharmacy Assistant for the patient services area of the hospital pharmacy. You will dispense medicines to wards, departments and patients, receipt prescriptions on Epic, and arrange medicines for home delivery where needed.

You may cover ward top-up, deliver medicines to wards, and support stock control while maintaining tidy, safe dispensary operations. A commitment to NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services is required.

Qualifications

• Secondary school education including mathematics.
• Commitment to undertake NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services.
• NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (if applicable)

Responsibilities

• Dispense medicines and items to wards, departments and patients.
• Welcome customers at the hatch and process prescriptions.
• Receipt prescriptions on the Epic system after training.
• Send medicines to patients' and carers' home addresses.
• Provide unplanned cover for the ward top-up service.
• Deliver medicines to wards when required.
