Job summary

NG Bailey Group in Leeds is seeking a Head of People Operations to lead the delivery of the People agenda across our Engineering division, ensuring colleagues receive outstanding support throughout the employee lifecycle. This is a senior leadership role for someone who thrives on building high performing teams, influencing stakeholders, and turning strategy into practical, impactful outcomes.

CIPD Level 7 qualification and Chartered CIPD membership are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading People Operations or HR Services teams.
• Strong UK employment law and employee relations expertise.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing decisions.
• Pragmatic, solutions-focused problem solving.
• Strong analytical skills using people data and metrics to drive decisions.
• Experience leading, coaching and developing teams through change and growth.
• CIPD Level 7 qualification or equivalent; Chartered CIPD membership or working towards it.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high performing People Operations team.
• Act as trusted people partner to senior leaders.
• Oversee complex employee relations matters and people challenges.
• Use people insights and data to inform decision making.
• Drive continuous improvement across people processes and ways of working.
