Job summary

Lane Clark & Peacock LLP in London is seeking a senior consultant to join the Post Transaction Team within the Pension Risk Transfer practice. You will lead client engagements, manage complex wind‑up projects, and work closely with insurers to ensure successful transitions from buy‑in to buy‑out and wind‑up.

The role requires strong pensions technical knowledge, proven project management, and the ability to manage diverse stakeholders while delivering practical, client‑centric solutions.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in a pensions consulting environment, or with a bulk annuity provider.
• Proven experience of insurer post‑transaction processes and pension scheme wind‑ups.
• Excellent UK pensions technical knowledge and understanding of legislative requirements around wind-ups.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to develop detailed project plans and drive tasks to completion.
• Ability to establish collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including advisers, insurers, trustees and sponsors.

Responsibilities

• Work on projects helping schemes move from buy‑in to buy‑out and wind‑up.
• Build relationships with clients, advisers and insurers to ensure smooth transitions and actively project manage timelines.
• Support clients as schemes move to wind‑up within desired timescales using your project management experience.
• Contribute to team strategy, attend networking events, and contribute to new business tenders.
