Job summary

Emerald Group in London seeks an experienced consultant to join their Post Transaction Team as they expand capabilities in risk transfer, supporting buy-in to buy-out and wind-up projects.

You will build strong client relationships with trustees, advisers and insurers, manage projects to schedule, and apply deep pension knowledge to ensure compliant, timely wind-ups while delivering practical solutions.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years in consulting or bulk annuity provider.
• Proven insurer post-transaction and wind-up experience.
• Strong UK pensions technical knowledge and wind-up rules.
• Ability to produce detailed project plans and timelines.
• Experience delivering presentations at client meetings.
• Experience with new business tenders is helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Work on projects to help schemes move from buy-in to buy-out and wind-up.
• Build relationships with clients, advisers and insurers to ensure smooth transitions.
• Actively manage projects to progress on time and resolve issues.
• Support clients moving schemes to wind-up within target timescales.
• Oversee financial aspects and manage project risks.
• Lead and deliver presentations at client meetings.
• Proactively ensure client satisfaction throughout projects.
• Foster new client relationships and assist on new tenders.
