Brightwell is seeking a Manager Administration Consulting in Chesterfield (Derbyshire) or London to lead pensions administration projects for large schemes and insurers. You will guide calculation workstreams, develop specifications, and ensure accuracy across regulatory changes, working closely with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in a top-tier pensions consultancy/TPA or from a large defined benefit pension scheme.
• Excellent numeric, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple events and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to communicate / interact across all levels and with teams throughout the business.
• Adaptability and willingness to adapt changes.
• Positive attitude & energy.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in initiating and implementing key projects (GMP equalisation, factor reviews, automation enhancements, regulatory changes).
• Develop or update calculation specifications and support testing during client implementations.
• Maintain calculation specs against regulatory changes to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Collaborate with admin system providers and teams to implement schemes and calculation changes.
• Interface with clients on project matters and prepare papers for Trustee/client meetings.
• Assist in resolving escalated complaints by identifying root causes and correcting benefits.
• Engage in external industry forums to share insights and stay updated.
