Sedgwick Legal Services (SLS) advises and handles disputes for major insurers, Lloyds syndicates, large corporates, utilities, and local authorities. This role focuses on property damage losses, including those caused by major fires, floods, building collapse, escape of water, and subsidence. Our Legal team leads from our Central Bristol Office, with colleagues in Cardiff and London. The role requires a hybrid working model with three days per week in our Bristol office.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of cyber risk and data protection issues, supporting a highly regarded and expanding team on complex and high-profile matters. You will work closely with solicitors and cyber specialistsadvisinginsurers and insureds on large and complex cyber claims, regulatoryobligationsand incident response strategies.
You will support the Cyber team on a wide range of matters arising from cyber incidents and data breaches including:
Supporting the management of data breach and cyber incident response matters, assisting clients on legal and regulatory obligations, regulatory reporting, investigations, evidence gathering and crisis response. Liaise with insurers, insureds and technical experts, maintain case management systems, draft client documentation, undertake legal research, and support cyber-related litigation and recovery actions.
