Arup is seeking a Senior Overhead Line Design Engineer to join the transmission and distribution team in the UK. You will lead OHL design packages across voltage ranges, guide junior engineers, and ensure high-quality outputs for major infrastructure projects, including the Great Grid Partnership.

The role requires proven overhead line design experience, strong technical capability, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualificações

• A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline
• Chartered or working towards within 12 months
• Experience in overhead line design within transmission and distribution
• Progression towards professional qualification (e.g. working towards or recently achieved chartership)
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• The ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team
• Experience in consultancy or major infrastructure projects is highly desirable

Responsabilidades

• Leading feasibility studies, design reports, and technical documentation
• Delivering detailed OHL design: routing, profiling, calculations
• Producing drawings and models using CAD and tools
• Coordinating with teams and stakeholders for integrated designs
• Managing deliverables to program, budget and quality
• Mentoring junior engineers and guiding design quality
• Driving innovation and digital design within the team
