Job summary

Arup is seeking an early-career Overhead Line (OHL) Design Engineer to join its growing transmission and distribution team in the UK. The role supports OHL project delivery across a range of voltages, contributing to design activities and technical outputs while developing skills within a collaborative environment.

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams, gaining exposure to project delivery, detailed design and engineering best practice.

Qualifications

• A degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive approach to problem solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of OHL projects across voltage levels (typically 33kV-400kV+).
• Contribute to design activities and technical outputs while developing your skills.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams across project delivery, detailed design and best practice.
