Job summary

Circle Health Group’s Bath Clinic seeks a Senior Theatre Practitioner in Orthopaedic Scrub to join a dedicated theatre team. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours weekly, with a flexible shift pattern. The post offers a competitive salary up to £48,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

The successful applicant will lead perioperative care in orthopaedic cases, coordinate lists and supervise junior staff, ensuring safe patient flow and excellent outcomes in a busy private hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC).
• Significant perioperative experience with orthopaedic surgery.
• Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
• In-depth knowledge of governance, infection control and theatre safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and handle specialist instrumentation and equipment per guidance and protocols.
• Assist surgical and anaesthetic teams; anticipate needs and adapt during procedures.
• Lead theatre preparation, coordinate lists and ensure staff and resources are ready.
• Support Theatre Manager with briefings, scheduling, stock control, and patient flow.
