Job summary

Circle Health Group is recruiting a Senior Theatre Practitioner for Goring Hall Hospital in West Sussex. This full-time role offers 37.5 hours per week, with a flexible shift pattern and a salary up to £44,372.66 per year, dependent on experience and qualifications.

The candidate will act as senior scrub for orthopaedic procedures, coordinate theatres and supervise junior staff, with responsibility for patient flow, team briefings, and stock control.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or ODP (HCPC) registration.
• Significant perioperative experience in orthopaedics.
• Proven scrubbing ability for a wide range of procedures.
• Leadership and decision-making in theatre settings.
• Knowledge of infection control and safety practices.
• Experience in senior theatre roles and private healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Act as senior scrub for orthopaedic procedures including joint replacements.
• Prepare and handle specialist instrumentation and implants per guidance.
• Assist surgical and anaesthetic teams and adapt to changes during procedures.
• Prepare theatres, coordinate lists, ensure equipment and staff availability.
• Support Theatre Manager with briefings, scheduling, and stock control.
• Supervise junior staff and provide clinical guidance during shifts.
