Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a maintenance-focused professional to lead the Proactive Screens Team in inlet screen maintenance across Anglian Water sites. You will coordinate activities, coach technicians, and ensure safety and high service levels while improving asset reliability.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 or C&G Level 3 qualifications in Mechanical/Electrical/Engineering, strong HSE awareness, and strong communication with a range of stakeholders.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or C&G Level 3 qualifications in Mechanical/Electrical/Engineering (essential)
• Experience and awareness of Health and Safety within an operational environment
• Ability to adapt written and verbal communication for diverse stakeholders
• Customer service skills and ability to deal with customers empathetically and professionally
• Knowledge of inlet screens and water recycling processes is beneficial
• Experience coaching and mentoring team members
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at height
• HAV occupational health checks may be required

Job description

• Join the newly created Proactive Screens Team and help shape inlet screen maintenance across Anglian Water
• Improve the reliability, safety, and performance of critical water recycling assets
• Work across treatment works and pumping stations
• Lead by example and provide technical expertise
• Support the development, monitoring, and coaching of technicians and field resources
• Plan and coordinate maintenance activities
• Proactively manage workloads and help control maintenance backlogs
• Work with suppliers, manufacturers, and specialist contractors
• Support spares strategies and improve parts availability
• Develop, encourage, and foster safe working practices in accordance with company safety rules
• Manage available resources to deliver maintenance work within agreed service levels
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to complete actions on service completion
• Drive continuous improvement through implementation of new ideas and equipment

Requirements

• Full driving licence
• Strong Mechanical/Electrical/Engineering background ideally, with necessary NVQ/C&G Level 3 qualifications in that field (essential)
• Experience and awareness of Health and Safety within an operational environment
• Ability to adapt written and verbal communication style for a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
• Customer service skills and ability to deal with customers empathetically and professionally
• Knowledge or understanding of inlet screens and basic understanding of water recycling processes beneficial
• Experience coaching and mentoring team members
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at height without restrictions
• Maximum weight of 113 kilograms due to harness weight limits
• Ability to complete relevant occupational health checks, including Hand-arm Vibration (HAV)
