Job summary

Anglian Water Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Southend and surrounding areas. The role focuses on general repairs, fault investigation, and scheduled maintenance to ensure reliability of water recycling assets at treatment works.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance technician responsible for general repairs, investigating and rectifying faults and completing scheduled maintenance to ensure asset reliability.
• Operate and maintain water recycling assets at treatment works, including planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical assets.

Job description

Starting Basic salary (plus standby & overtime payments): £39,520 for candidates with NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent in Mechanical/Engineering Subject)
£35,360 for candidates with NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent in Mechanical/Engineering Subject)

Clear progression opportunities to earn up to £47,840 Basic with further training and experience

Van, all PPE, tools, and fuel card provided

Permanent Full-time, with flexibility for part-time, 37 hours, 5-day working pattern including some weekends.

With support from a collaborative team, your mechanical knowledge will enable you to be responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of water recycling assets – including equipment installed at water treatment works, as well as carrying out planned & reactive maintenance on our mechanical assets Experience working with mechanical control systems, telemetry systems, pumps, gearboxes and general mechanical/electrical plant maintenance would also be advantageous. This role is vital and will have a direct impact on the environment and communities that we serve.

What does it take to be a Wastewater Maintenance Technician?

To be successful in this role, you must have obtained an NVQ level 2 or 3 (mechanical/engineering) qualification (or equivalent) and/or completed a relevant apprenticeship and hold a full UK driving licence
