Gallagher is seeking a Senior Operations Control Associate within the Specialty division to strengthen the first line risk operating model. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the three lines of defence to embed best practice, minimise risk, and drive continuous improvement.

The role focuses on governance, controls, and process quality, with opportunities to lead projects and influence senior management. A strong background in risk, compliance, and operations is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in operations, risk, or a middle/back-office environment.
• Strong understanding of operational controls, governance, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
• Highly organised with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
• Confident presenting and working with senior management.
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.
• Strong MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery and enhancement of the first line risk operating model across Specialty.
• Build strong relationships with 2nd and 3rd line teams to ensure effective collaboration and oversight.
• Maintain and review Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Own and maintain process control artefacts, including templates and checklists.
• Conduct quality assurance activities, including file reviews and audits.
• Support governance frameworks and tools, including product governance processes.
• Identify trends, carry out root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support key projects to ensure appropriate risk assessment and control implementation.
