THE COMPANY:

Our client is an international full-service commercial bank. They are looking to hire a Senior Operations Manager for their London business.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies to mitigate risks.
• Develop and maintain relationships with correspondent banks to facilitate smooth operations and quick resolution of issues.
• Liaise with Business Development and Financial Markets departments to meet funding needs and manage funds movements promptly.
• Lead projects related to operational systems, ensuring timely completion, achievement of objectives, and cost efficiencies. Ensure smooth, error-free transitions during system changes or upgrades.
• Coordinate with Head Office and IT regarding system issues and business requirements.
• Supervise and lead a team of banking professionals, providing guidance and support.
• Monitor operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions.
• Coordinate with external partners to streamline processes and achieve operational excellence.
• Conduct training sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge.
• Provide expertise and support to meet business requirements.
• Prepare regular Management Information (MI) reports for the management team.
• Assist with and cover any tasks within the department as needed.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Mandarin.
• Extensive experience in Operations with a proven track record.
• Experience in banking operations with knowledge of financial regulations.
• Understanding of Loans Administration.
• Knowledge of Payment Operations.
• Understanding of Treasury Operations.
• Over 10 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry in similar roles.
