THE COMPANY:

Our client is an international full-service commercial bank. They are looking to hire a Senior Operations Manager for their London business.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies to mitigate risks.
2. Develop and maintain relationships with correspondent banks to facilitate smooth support and quick resolution of issues.
3. Liaise with Business Development and Financial Markets departments to meet funding requirements and manage funds movements promptly.
4. Lead projects related to operational systems, ensuring timely completion, achievement of objectives, and cost efficiencies. Ensure smooth, error-free transitions during system changes or upgrades.
5. Coordinate with Head Office and IT regarding system issues and other business needs.
6. Supervise and lead a team of banking professionals, providing guidance and support.
7. Monitor and analyze operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions.
8. Work with external partners and stakeholders to streamline processes and achieve operational excellence.
9. Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of the operations team.
10. Provide expertise and support to ensure operational deliverables meet business requirements.
11. Prepare regular Management Information (MI) reports for the management team.
12. Assist with or cover any tasks within the department as needed.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Mandarin.
• Extensive and proven experience in operations within banking or financial services.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations related to banking operations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Loans Administration.
• In-depth understanding of Payment Operations.
• Solid grasp of Treasury Operations.
• Over 10 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry with a proven track record in similar roles or business streams.
