Job summary

Student Roost in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to oversee Myrtle Court and The Railyard. You’ll lead day-to-day operations to deliver an outstanding resident experience while driving strong commercial performance.

You will inspire a high-performing team, champion operational excellence and use data to raise the bar. You’ll lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage budgets and KPIs, and partner with Revenue and Marketing on targeted campaigns to grow occupancy and revenue.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multi-disciplinary operational teams with a track record of delivering sales and occupancy growth.
• Strong people leadership: coaching, developing and motivating others.
• Experience managing budgets, financial performance and KPIs.
• Customer-first mindset and a passion for exceptional resident experiences.
• Background in facilities, hospitality, property, accommodation or similar customer-focused environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfort using data and technology to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-performing teams to build an inclusive culture and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Deliver resident experience by ensuring safe, welcoming, well-managed homes and quick empathy-driven issue resolution.
• Own property sales performance, occupancy, revenue and profitability; drive leasing and rebooking strategies.
• Champion safety, compliance, and presentation standards; lead planning for summer turnaround, maintenance and capital projects.
• Build strategic relationships with universities, suppliers and stakeholders across Student Roost.
