Job summary

TAIT is recruiting a Site Manager in the United Kingdom to lead onsite technical teams on large-scale installations. You will coordinate scheduling, resources, and client communication to ensure timely delivery while maintaining safety and quality.

You will drive the handover from installation to operations, manage documentation and training, and report progress to TAIT leadership with clear risk and budget insights. A strong background in automation and multi-national teams is required.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading large-scale project installations.
• Demonstrated communication and leadership across multi-lingual and multi-national teams.
• Strong understanding of automation hardware, software, and TAIT systems.
• Familiarity with ship build/general construction project processes.
• Health and safety qualifications (SMSTS, NEBOSH, CSCS) are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate onsite scheduling, ensuring milestones are met and resources deployed per project and budget constraints.
• Coordinate the transition from installation to operational handover with documentation, training, and client handholding.
• Maintain efficient onsite operations and procedures to provide top-class service to internal and external clients.
• Lead daily stand-ups, toolbox talks, and wrap-up meetings ensuring team alignment on status and direction.
• Serve as the primary onsite liaison with clients, subcontractors, vendors, local authorities, and site owners.
• Ensure subcontractors and vendors meet contractual, quality, and safety obligations.
• Create a unified, productive, high-performance work environment.
• Manage local accommodations and logistics in line with budget and local regulations.
