Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking an Advanced Oncology Pharmacist - Electronic Prescribing to lead, manage and develop the EP system for Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre. You will develop policies, ensure safe, clinical and cost-effective medicines use, and deliver high-quality oncology pharmacy services with a focus on electronic prescribing.

Qualifications

• Extensive hospital pharmacy experience post-registration.
• Experience in providing specialist pharmacist review of people with cancer.
• Experience developing and implementing medicines and service policies for a specialty.
• Experience working with electronic prescribing system.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the strategy, design and development of the Electronic Prescribing (EP) system for SACT.
• Maintain the EP system, electronic referrals and patient-reported outcome measures for SACT.
• Provide leadership for all aspects of SACT EP and support oncology pharmacy services at MVCC.
• Develop policies and procedures to ensure safe medication practices in relation to electronic prescribing.
