Job summary

We Do Social Work in Wirral is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team, supporting adults to maintain independence and improve quality of life across the borough. You will carry out specialist assessments, advise on equipment and adaptations, and work with families and carers to promote wellbeing.

This role involves complex case management, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring services are person-centred and outcome-focused.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration and CPD evidenced.
• Strong assessment, analytical and risk management skills.
• Excellent verbal, written and non-verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Undertake comprehensive functional and specialist occupational therapy assessments.
• Identify equipment, adaptations and practical solutions to support independence.
• Assess and manage risks balancing individuals' rights and wellbeing.
• Provide professional advice and specialist recommendations to colleagues and partner agencies.
• Maintain accurate case records and documentation.
• Support and mentor junior staff and students.

Education

Degree-level qualification in Occupational Therapy
