Home Group in Newcastle is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to help people with complex needs live more independent, meaningful lives. You’ll carry out in-depth assessments, design personalised interventions, and provide clinical guidance to colleagues across teams.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience with complex needs (learning disabilities, autism, or mental health)
• Person-centred and strengths-based approach
• Confidence in risk assessment and management
• Excellent communication with customers, families, carers and colleagues
• Curious, forward-thinking mindset to improve practice

Responsabilités

• Carry out in-depth assessments and interventions, creating practical plans to build skills and independence
• Provide clinical guidance to colleagues for safe day-to-day care
• Design and deliver personalised interventions, including behaviour support plans
• Collaborate with nurses, behavioural specialists and other therapists
• Balance caseload across services, including Ofsted-registered accommodation
• Lead service improvements and contribute to practice development
