Job summary

Cardiff Council is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join Independent Living Services. You will undertake complex assessments, plan interventions to promote independence, and manage cases with support from leadership. The role includes Trusted Assessor work and mentoring colleagues.

You will be HCPC registered and experienced with adults with physical disabilities or older people, working autonomously within a supportive team and contributing to quality and service improvements.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered Occupational Therapist with relevant experience.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with the team.
• Strong assessment, communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct complex OT assessments and agree outcomes with individuals and carers.
• Plan interventions to promote independence and reduce risk, including equipment and adaptations.
• Manage complex cases with support from the Team Manager.
• Undertake Trusted Assessor assessments and inform care package decisions.
• Provide mentoring and professional guidance to colleagues and contribute to service development.
