Job summary

Busy Bees Newcastle Jesmond is seeking a Senior Nursery Room Leader to oversee multiple rooms, ensuring the Bee Curious curriculum is delivered consistently and to the highest standards. You will mentor Room Leaders, plan and deliver age-appropriate activities, and support safeguarding and wellbeing across the centre, adapting to meet diverse needs.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
• Experience in an early years setting with supervisory or leadership responsibility.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for children and staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensure educational strategies are consistent across multiple rooms.
• Lead planning and delivery of activities, adapting the curriculum for diverse needs.
• Mentor and develop Room Leaders, promoting a collaborative, high-performing team.

What to Expect as a Senior Nursery Room Leader:

• Ensure that educational strategies and practices are consistent across multiple rooms.
• Lead the planning and delivery of activities, adapting the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of the children.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding protocols across the centre.

Ideal Candidate:

• Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
• Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory or leadership experience ideally as a Senior Nursery Room Leader, Senior Nursery Room Manager or Senior Nursery Practitioner.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for both children and team members.
