Job summary

Busy Bees Leeds, Colton Mill, part of Busy Bees Nurseries, is seeking a Senior Nursery Room Leader. You will oversee multiple rooms, lead planning, and ensure educational strategies are consistently delivered across the centre.

You will mentor Room Leaders, support safeguarding, build strong relationships with parents, and help maintain high standards of care and learning within a welcoming, award-winning nursery environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning and delivery across multiple rooms, ensuring consistency of the curriculum.

• Safeguard wellbeing of children and support children with additional needs as required.
• Foster strong relationships with parents and keep them informed of development.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and safeguarding protocols centre-wide.

What To Expect As a Senior Nursery Room Leader

• Ensure that educational strategies and practices are consistent across multiple rooms.
• Lead the planning and delivery of activities, adapting the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of the children.
• Mentor and develop Room Leaders, promoting a collaborative and high-performing team.
• Oversee the wellbeing and safeguarding of children, making necessary adaptations to support children with additional needs.
• Foster strong relationships with parents, keeping them informed of their child's development.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding protocols across the centre.

Ideal Candidate

• Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
• Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory or leadership experience ideally as a Senior Nursery Room Leader, Senior Nursery Room Manager or Senior Nursery Practitioner.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for both children and team members.
