Job summary

Busy Bees Nurseries Ltd. is seeking a Senior Nursery Room Leader in North Shields to oversee multiple rooms, drive educational strategies, and mentor Room Leaders. The role focuses on safeguarding, wellbeing, and strong parent communication within a leading UK nursery group.

You will lead planning, adapt the Bee Curious curriculum, and ensure high standards of care and learning across the centre. A Level 3+ qualification and supervisory experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
• Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory or leadership experience ideally as a Senior Nursery Room Leader, Senior Nursery Room Manager or Senior Nursery Practitioner.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for both children and team members.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that educational strategies and practices are consistent across multiple rooms.
• Lead the planning and delivery of activities, adapting the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of the children.
• Mentor and develop Room Leaders, promoting a collaborative and high-performing team.
• Oversee the wellbeing and safeguarding of children, making necessary adaptations to support children with additional needs.
• Foster strong relationships with parents, keeping them informed of their child's development.

About Our Nursery

North Shields Rake Lane is an OFTSED rated Good Nursery located within close proximity of Rake Lane Hospital. The 112 place nursery has 8 spacious base rooms with free flow gardens to support children's learning and development both indoors and outdoor. Opened in 2004 as a purpose built setting- our experienced team are passionate about giving each child the best start in life.

We are located in a prime location with onsite parking and excellent transport links with the Bus and nearby metro stations.
