Job summary

Busy Bees Leeds Farsley is seeking a Senior Nursery Room Leader to oversee multiple rooms, ensuring consistent delivery of the Bee Curious curriculum and high standards of care and learning.

You will lead and mentor Room Leaders, plan activities, monitor safeguarding, and build strong relationships with parents while maintaining health and safety across the centre.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in early years education.
• Experience in supervision/leadership in EY settings.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure educational strategies across multiple rooms.
• Lead planning and delivery of activities with the Bee Curious curriculum.
• Mentor and develop Room Leaders, promoting a high-performing team.
• Oversee safeguarding and wellbeing of children and staff.

What to Expect as a Senior Nursery Room Leader:

• Ensure that educational strategies and practices are consistent across multiple rooms.
• Lead the planning and delivery of activities, adapting the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of the children.
• Mentor and develop Room Leaders, promoting a collaborative and high-performing team.
• Oversee the wellbeing and safeguarding of children, making necessary adaptations to support children with additional needs.
• Foster strong relationships with parents, keeping them informed of their child's development.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding protocols across the centre.

Ideal Candidate:

• Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
• Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory or leadership experience ideally as a Senior Nursery Room Leader, Senior Nursery Room Manager or Senior Nursery Practitioner.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for both children and team members.
