Busy Bees Nurseries Ltd. in Gateshead is seeking a Senior Nursery Room Leader to oversee multiple rooms and drive the Bee Curious curriculum across the centre.

You will lead a team to deliver high‑quality learning experiences while upholding the highest standards of care. You will mentor Room Leaders, ensure safeguarding, and foster strong relationships with parents, with a focus on inclusive practice and staff development.

Formación

• Level 3 qualification in early years education or higher.
• Experience in a supervisory/leadership role in an early years setting.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to foster an inclusive, supportive environment for children and staff.

• Ensure educational strategies are consistent across multiple rooms.
• Lead planning and delivery of activities, adapting the curriculum to diverse needs.
• Mentor and develop Room Leaders, promoting a collaborative, high‑performing team.
• Oversee wellbeing and safeguarding of children and adaptations for additional needs.
• Build strong relationships with parents and keep them informed of development.
• Ensure health, safety and safeguarding compliance across the centre.

Our beautiful Gateshead QE nursery has an Ofsted rating of Good, and has a capacity of 108. What to Expect as a Senior Nursery Room Leader:

• Ensure that educational strategies and practices are consistent across multiple rooms.

Ideal Candidate:

• Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
• Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory or leadership experience ideally as a Senior Nursery Room Leader, Senior Nursery Room Manager or Senior Nursery Practitioner.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for both children and team members.
