Job summary

Tetra Tech Europe is seeking an Associate Director to lead safety-critical projects across the UK nuclear landscape. You will drive safety case delivery, lead multidisciplinary teams, and engage with regulators and clients to ensure high-quality, compliant outputs.

The role combines technical leadership with business development, mentoring, and strategic direction, offering hybrid working with options for remote work and site attendance.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams on safety-critical projects.
• Chartered status, or progression towards it, is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Safety Case Delivery: lead development and assurance of complex safety cases and responsible documents.
• Diverse Project Portfolio: manage a broad portfolio from short studies to long, high-value projects.
• Regulator and Client Engagement: engage with regulators and clients to secure outcomes and strengthen relationships.
• Reviewing and Writing Technical Reports: develop and assure documentation and safety cases with clarity and rigour.
• Mentoring and Line Management: develop people, coach teams and foster delivery culture.
