M-KOPA Mobility seeks a Senior Backend Engineer to build event-driven .NET microservices powering affordable transport across Africa. You will own services from design to production, leveraging AI coding tools like Claude Code to accelerate delivery.

Expect scale on Azure with Kubernetes, Docker, and robust observability (Prometheus, Grafana). Collaborate across a fast-growing fintech/mobility business, shaping software that improves lives in Africa.

Qualifications

• Strong grasp of C# .NET development.
• Experience with event-driven systems and messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Microservices architecture experience.
• Experience with Azure or other major cloud providers (AWS, GCP).
• Familiarity with containerisation/orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Testing and deployment in a DevOps culture.

• Build sophisticated event-driven microservices that power our mobility platform.
• Own services end-to-end from architecture decisions to production monitoring.
