Job summary

Birmingham City Council is seeking a motivated Multi-Disciplinary Team Manager to lead within the Adult Safeguarding Service. You will provide clear operational leadership and professional oversight, supporting timely, proportionate and person-centred responses to safeguarding concerns and enquiries.

You will navigate complexity with sound judgement, champion Making Saf safeguarding Personal, and balance safety, rights and independence while guiding staff and partner agencies to improved

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of adult safeguarding legislation, policy and procedures.
• Experience in leading and managing teams, providing reflective supervision.
• Substantial adult safeguarding experience, including complex decision-making and multi-agency working.
• Experience handling complex complaints and using feedback to drive improvement.
• Budget management and effective use of resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop your team through reflective supervision and clear expectations.
• Oversee quality, timeliness and outcomes of safeguarding work within your service area.
• Embed person-centred practice and safeguarding discussions with clear decisions and actions.
• Provide management oversight of safeguarding concerns, risk, and safeguarding plans.
• Chair multi-agency discussions and support shared decisions with clear responsibilities.
