Job summary

Birmingham City Council’s Adult Social Care Directorate seeks an experienced Multi-Disciplinary Team Manager to lead and develop services for adults in Birmingham. You will provide strong leadership, drive performance, and ensure person-centred care in line with statutory duties.

You will supervise and develop staff, embed the Three Conversations model, and work with partners to improve outcomes while monitoring budgets and safeguarding practice.

Qualifications

• Must hold a professional Social Work or Occupational Therapy qualification or equivalent.
• Registered with the appropriate professional body where applicable.
• Proven ability to lead teams and improve service quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality, person-centred care.
• Drive service improvement, performance and accountability.
• Embed strengths-based approaches and collaborative working across partners.
• Ensure compliance with Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Mental Health Act 1983.
• Oversee safeguarding, risk management, and quality assurance.
