Job summary

Rolls-Royce SMR in Derby, Manchester or Warrington is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to drive module assembly demonstrators and experimental programmes. The role includes coordinating design, manufacturing and assembly methods with cross-functional teams, aiming to deliver safe, on-time, and cost-effective results within the Modularisation Development Programme.

Reporting to the MDP Delivery Lead, you will shape work packages, manage interfaces with suppliers, and share lessons learned

Qualifications

• Significant practical experience in manufacturing/industrial engineering.
• Strong knowledge of design for manufacture and assembly and production-readiness principles.
• Experience delivering high-value or complex R&D, NPI, industrialisation projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead modularisation demonstrators and experiments to meet technical, safety and quality targets.
• Define and plan work packages, secure resources, and coordinate internal and external partners.
• Monitor risks, issues, dependencies and ensure delivery within cost and schedule.
