Job summary

Exient is seeking a Senior Game Designer on a contract basis to strengthen our design capacity across multiple live and upcoming mobile projects, including the iconic Lemmings franchise. This hands-on role requires owning features end-to-end and advancing AI-assisted design workflows to accelerate delivery.

You will work with design, art, engineering, and production to design, balance, and polish features, while contributing to proposals and pitches for new opportunities.

Qualifications

• Five years’ game design experience, majority in mobile games.
• Track record of shipping and operating live mobile titles.
• Degree in Games Design, Interactive Media, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience working on complex design projects in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
• Portfolio or case studies showing senior-level design thinking across mechanics, economy, and player experience.

Responsibilities

• Own feature and systems design for live free-to-play games, from concept to documentation, then balancing post-launch.
• Design against data and player behaviour with Product, Analytics, and Production to shape KPIs, retention and revenue.
• Deliver seasonal and event content to keep games fresh across seasons and live-ops moments.
• Work across a varied portfolio, taking ownership of projects and balancing shifting priorities.
• Contribute to new concepts and pitches, shaping GDDs, proposals, and concept pitches.
• Design within real-world constraints, meeting evolving compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Push craft forward by leveraging AI-assisted design workflows in practice.
• Collaborate with artists, engineers, and producers to move designs from documentation to polished features.
• Prototype and pressure-test ideas quickly through rapid iteration and playtesting.
