Just Eat Takeaway.com is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to grow our product recommendations and lead end-to-end ML system design. You will work across Data Science, Product, and Backend teams to deploy scalable, production-ready AI solutions that drive billions of recommendations daily.

You will mentor engineers, own components from data ingestion to real-time inference, and push for robust ML operations (CI/CD, monitoring, feature stores) in a hybrid Bristol/London setup.

Qualificações

• Proficient in Python and software engineering principles applied to ML.
• Experience delivering production ML systems beyond notebooks, with real-time or batch serving patterns.
• Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster) and cloud-native ML platforms (AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI).
• Ability to influence infra/tooling decisions and balance build vs buy.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with data engineering basics (SQL, distributed data processing).
• Proactive mindset to automate and improve developer experience for Data Scientists.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with Data Scientists, PMs, and Backend Engineers to connect model development with production systems.
• Lead end-to-end ML system design from data ingestion to real-time inference and monitoring.
• Transform prototypes into robust, scalable production software with ownership from discovery to production.
• Drive adoption of MLOps practices (CI/CD for ML, model versioning, feature stores).
• Communicate ML system trade-offs (latency vs. accuracy) to stakeholders.
• Build and maintain networks across Data and Engineering to ensure integration with the platform.
• Lead projects, mentor peers, and promote engineering excellence in data science.
