Job summary

Aspion is seeking a Senior Sales Account Manager in Hampshire to manage and grow key client relationships within the metals sector. You will drive revenue growth by identifying opportunities, negotiating quotations, and delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include expanding existing accounts, securing new business, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure orders are processed efficiently and profitability is maximised.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales or account management in metals/steel stockholding.
• Background in a distribution environment considered.
• Proven record growing customer accounts and revenue.
• Strong commercial awareness and pricing negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with customers.
• Proactive and commercially minded with identifying opportunities.
• Organised with ability to handle multiple accounts and priorities.
• Target-driven with focus on long-term relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow relationships with existing customer accounts.
• Identify and secure new business to increase revenue.
• Proactively generate sales via phone, email and engagement.
• Prepare and negotiate quotations with competitive pricing.
• Follow up on enquiries and quotations to maximise conversions.
• Increase spend and expand existing customer accounts.
• Understand customer requirements to offer suitable products.

• Monitor market conditions, pricing and competitor activity.
• Maintain accurate customer records and sales pipeline.
