Job summary

Sustainable Infrastructure in the UK is seeking an experienced MEP Lead to manage the mechanical and electrical scope on a major data centre construction project. This senior site-based role requires strong leadership, technical excellence and coordination across design, engineering and subcontractors to deliver safely and on programme.

You will work closely with the Contracts Manager and site teams to resolve technical issues, review drawings, and drive installation through to commissioning,

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• ≥10 years experience in MEP construction and project delivery.
• Proven leadership leading MEP teams on large-scale projects.
• Strong experience managing mechanical and electrical packages and installation coordination.
• Excellent communication, coordination and stakeholder management.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, site-based environments and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage MEP delivery teams including engineers and construction managers.
• Oversee MEP coordination, installation sequencing and programme delivery.
• Coordinate with Contracts Manager, site engineers and design teams.
• Manage specialist subcontractors and monitor progress and safety.
• Ensure installations comply with drawings, specs and quality standards.
• Review drawings for clashes and coordinate design changes.
• Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and schedule.
• Support planning, installation, testing and commissioning through to handover.
• Report progress and risks to senior management.
