Job summary

Sustainable Infrastructure Ltd on a major data centre construction project in the UK is seeking an experienced MEP Lead to oversee mechanical and electrical works, manage engineering and construction teams, and ensure safe, high-quality delivery through to commissioning.

You will work with the Contracts Manager, Site Engineers, discipline leads and specialist subcontractors to drive programme performance, resolve technical issues, review drawings, and coordinate installation in a fast-paced,

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical/electrical/building services engineering or related discipline.
• Experience leading MEP teams on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong communication, coordination and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, Construction Managers and wider MEP delivery teams.
• Oversee MEP coordination, installation sequencing and programme delivery across the project.
• Coordinate with Contracts Manager, Site Engineers and design teams to ensure efficient execution.
• Manage specialist subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams, monitoring progress and safety.
• Ensure installations comply with drawings, specifications, standards and quality requirements.
• Review drawings, identify clashes and coordinate design changes.
• Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and performance.
• Monitor progress against milestones and address delays and coordination issues.
• Support commissioning of MEP systems through to handover.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and project procedures.
