Job summary

Sustainable Infrastructure is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a major data centre project in Blyth, UK. The role is site-based and focuses on technical delivery and coordination of mechanical works, working closely with the MEP Lead, client, contractors and project team to deliver a fully integrated and high-quality solution.

This senior role involves subcontractor management, commissioning, installation and project delivery through to final handover, with a strong emphasis on safety,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical construction, installation and commissioning.
• Experience coordinating mechanical subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage client communications and attend client meetings.
• Lead and coordinate a team of Mechanical Package Managers.
• Oversee technical submittals and RFIs.
• Develop commissioning scripts for mechanical assets.
• Coordinate mechanical works with Electrical and CSA contractors.
• Prepare method statements and risk assessments for construction activities.
• Schedule and sequence mechanical installation activities to meet programme.
• Support commissioning and handover activities to ensure safe delivery.
