Job summary

Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust in Gloucestershire is recruiting a Mental Health Professional to join the Wellbeing Team at HMP Eastwood Park. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide recovery‑focused mental health and psycho-social support to women and carers inside the prison.

The role involves emergency assessments, delivery of intensive interventions under CPA, care coordination, and collaboration with primary care, inpatient and community services.

Qualifications

• Diploma level/Degree in relevant Health/Social Care Profession is required.
• Current registration with NMC or HCPC is required.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Excellent risk assessment and risk management skills are essential.
• Able to deliver from a range of key therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive mental health assessment in emergency settings across locations.
• Develop, deliver and review complex treatment programmes in line with evidence-based practice.
• Act as care coordinator for service users and provide interventions on other workers' caseloads.
• Plan, deliver and evaluate specialized therapeutic interventions (CBT/DBT, psychosocial interventions, Motivational strategies, medication management, MHA-related interventions).
• Deliver activities to support carers' ability to support service users and strengthen relationships.
• Maintain partnerships with primary care, inpatient and intensive services, day services, voluntary sector and carers/advocates.
• Facilitate crisis plans, rapid access plans, and advance statements with service users and carers, coordinating with other agencies.
• Build and lead recovery-focused relationships emphasizing personal recovery plans.

Education

Diploma level/Degree in relevant Health/Social Care Profession
