Job summary

Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust seeks a Senior Practitioner to lead a developing Intensive Service at HMP Eastwood Park. You will supervise two team members, coordinate Mental Health Act transfers, case-manage women during admission and support their safe return to prison.

With experience in complex assessment, care planning, supervision and team management, you will provide clinical leadership, safeguarding oversight and governance, while championing trauma-informed care

Qualifications

• Must be a registered Mental Health Nurse or Social Worker with substantial post-registration experience.
• Knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding.
• Skills in complex assessment, care planning, supervision and team management.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership, supervision, risk management and safeguarding oversight for a specialist team.
• Lead developing Intensive Service at HMP Eastwood Park and coordinate transfers to hospital.
• Case-manage women during admission and support safe return to prison; liaison with multidisciplinary colleagues.
