Job summary

Encyclis in the West Midlands is recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for the new Walsall ERF site. You will perform routine and breakdown maintenance on mechanical assets, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance while supporting the commissioning phase and day-to-day operations.

You will maintain CMMS records, develop maintenance strategies, and participate in outages. The role requires at least five years of hands-on industrial experience, an appropriate technical qualification,

Qualifications

• Higher National Diploma or NVQ Level 4/3 in a technical or science subject.
• A recognised Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship is desirable.
• At least 5 years hands-on experience in a medium or large industrial facility.
• Experience with CMMS and outage planning is desirable.
• Ability to work safely and maintain excellent housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance for mechanical assets and systems.
• Diagnose faults and repair all mechanical equipment and mobile plant.
• Follow quality systems, risk assessments and OEM recommendations.
• Develop maintenance documentation, strategies and safe working procedures.
• Manage the CMMS for maintenance activities.
• Assist in outage planning and execution of maintenance scopes.
• Follow site safety rules and promote safe systems of work.
• Support reliability improvements and root-cause analysis for defects.
• Maintain plant cleanliness and housekeeping to high standards.
• Collaborate with operations to meet KPI targets.
