Job summary

Encyclis is seeking an EC&I Technician for the new Walsall ERF site to maintain and optimise control systems and electrical assets. You’ll work with the EC&I team, plan outages, diagnose faults, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The role focuses on CEMS, SCADA/DCS, PLCs, HV/LV equipment, and CMMS, with opportunities to shape maintenance strategies at a brand‑new facility in the West Midlands. A technical apprenticeship or HND/NVQ is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience in a medium to large industrial facility.
• Experience with CMMS and instrument calibrations/maintenance.
• HV equipment experience and switchgear knowledge desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, preventative and reactive EC&I maintenance.
• Plan, coordinate and execute maintenance outages.
• Supervise EC&I contractors and ensure health and safety compliance.
• Maintain CMMS records and calibrations for EC&I assets.
• Diagnose faults on DCS, RIO and PLC systems.
• Contribute to EC&I improvement and RCA for major defects.
