Job summary

Glanua, a leader in water and wastewater engineering, seeks a Senior Civil Estimator to drive tender activity for major municipal programmes and AMP8 frameworks with regulatory clients in the UK. You will lead mechanical estimating, price construction risks and guide commercial strategy across multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Advanced analytical and numerical capability with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, treatment processes and installation methods.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in estimating software, digital take off tools and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed, accurate and fully evidenced mechanical estimates based on drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Ensure estimates reflect realistic construction risk, align with governance and adhere to industry standards.
• Engage in design development to assess buildability, installation methods, material selection and innovation opportunities.
• Provide early stage cost guidance to support optioneering and value for money in tenders.
• Cost coding and feedback to improve cost libraries and estimating methodologies.
