Stantec is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Water team in Birmingham, Redditch or Derby. You will lead the technical delivery of mechanical engineering solutions on nationally significant projects, mentor developing engineers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable infrastructure across the UK.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer or actively working towards.
• Experience delivering mechanical design within the water sector.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and standards.
• Experience delivering technical design packages across multidisciplinary projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers.
• Strong organisational skills with multiple priorities.

Responsabilités

• Deliver mechanical design activities from feasibility and concept to detailed design and construction support.
• Produce and review mechanical calculations, technical specifications, schedules, reports and engineering documentation.
• Lead the design of pumping stations, water and wastewater treatment works, pipelines and associated mechanical infrastructure.
• Undertake site visits, surveys and technical investigations where required.
• Collaborating with electrical, process, civil and structural engineers to deliver integrated project solutions.
• Working with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders while providing technical guidance and mentoring to developing engineers.
