Stantec in the Midlands seeks a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead technical delivery across water and wastewater projects, from feasibility to commissioning, and to mentor engineers. The role offers leadership within a leading multidisciplinary consultancy and involves working across Birmingham, Redditch, Derby or Shrewsbury.

You will build strong client relationships, drive technical excellence, support bid and framework activities, and help grow the Midlands Mechanical Engineering

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (CEng/IEng) or actively working towards.
• Strong experience delivering detailed mechanical design within the UK water sector.

Responsabilités

• Lead mechanical design across water and wastewater treatment works and pumping stations.
• Deliver projects from feasibility and concept design through to detailed design, construction support and commissioning.
• Produce and review technical calculations, specifications, reports and engineering documentation.
• Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Mentor and support engineers, helping develop technical capability across the team.
