Job summary
Stantec is seeking a Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer to provide strategic leadership across our Midlands Mechanical Engineering team, based in Birmingham, Redditch or Derby. You will guide projects through feasibility, design and delivery, acting as the mechanical engineering authority for water and wastewater schemes across the UK.

Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- CEng or working towards Chartered status.
- Extensive UK water sector mechanical design experience.
- Experience leading complex mechanical projects and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-level technical leadership across major projects.
- Guide teams through the full project lifecycle from feasibility to delivery.
- Act as technical authority for mechanical engineering across water plants, pumping stations and conveyance systems.
- Mentor and develop engineers and support business growth.
