Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in mechanical engineering with extensive design experience.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience in design, fabrication, testing, or project execution.
• Experience in nuclear or fusion-related equipment is a strong asset.
• Knowledge of nuclear quality programs, codes and standards is preferred.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills; ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior mechanical engineering leadership for design, fabrication, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of nuclear equipment and related systems.
• Act as technical lead for assigned mechanical scopes, including design verification and supplier oversight.
• Prepare and review design packages, drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Lead testing, commissioning support, and field issue resolution within quality program requirements.
• Interface with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure integration of mechanical designs with process, controls, safety and licensing requirements.
