Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead design and substantiation of mechanical equipment for UK nuclear projects. You will work across reactor operations and collaborate with our delivery teams to ensure safety, quality and efficiency across lifecycle stages.

You will liaise with clients and internal teams, manage complex briefs, and contribute to bids, budgets and schedules while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships to drive successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience leading mechanical design and substantiation for complex projects.
• Ability to liaise with clients and internal teams to understand needs.
• Familiarity with nuclear systems and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and substantiation of mechanical equipment to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
• Coordinate with Power New Build and Decommissioning teams.
• Engage with stakeholders at all levels to align goals and timelines.
