STEMCELL Technologies in Cambridge, UK, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Instrumentation UK engineering team. You will lead sustaining engineering for our cell-sorting instruments, driving continuous improvement and design for manufacture from day one.

Working with engineering, manufacturing, quality and supply chain, you will optimize processes, manage supplier partnerships, ensure optical and electronic interfaces align with mechanical design, and help deliver robust,

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 6–10 years' relevant experience (or 4–8 with Master's, or 2–5 with PhD).
• Experience in regulated environments and design verification.

Responsabilidades

• Lead mechanical sustaining engineering for current instruments.
• Manage supplier evaluation, design transfer, and quality verification.
• Collaborate with optical physicists and electronics engineers to support alignments and tolerance stack-ups.
• Lead mechanical root-cause investigations and CAPAs.
• Provide DFM input for future instrument developments.
• Design, develop, and test precision mechanical, opto-mechanical, and electro-mechanical systems using SolidWorks.
