Job summary

STEMCELL Technologies is seeking an Electronics Engineer to join the UK Instrumentation team in Cambridge. The role focuses on sustaining the current cell sorting platform, investigating issues, implementing design improvements, and supporting lifecycle needs.

You'll contribute to next‑generation instrumentation, design and transfer to manufacture, and collaborate with software teams on embedded firmware. A strong electronics background and hands‑on lab experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or related field.
• 2–6 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience designing and debugging analogue and digital electronics.

Responsibilities

• Support sustaining engineering, handle component obsolescence and cost reductions.
• Lead or support electronics‑focused quality investigations and root‑cause analysis.
• Contribute to new product design and transfer to manufacture.
• Design, simulate and test analog and digital electronics in instrumentation.
• Integrate board interfaces (I2C, SPI, Ethernet, USB, NFC) and power systems.
• Collaborate with software teams for embedded C/C++ firmware work.
