Job summary

Arcadis is recruiting a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our MEICA Water team, tackling some of the UK’s most technically challenging AMP8 projects. You will lead and contribute to design and advisory services for water and wastewater assets, ensuring safety and quality throughout the lifecycle.

You will operate within a multi-disciplinary environment, collaborating with process, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and ICA teams, while growing client relationships and driving

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status (or approaching) and membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g., IMechE, IET, CIWEM).
• Significant experience and track record in technical delivery of process plant systems on complex engineering projects, preferably related to water and wastewater industry.
• Experience of working on design and construct projects using digital design platforms.
• Team leader with collaborative behaviours.
• Feasibility to detailed design stage delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Self-start and work independently or in a team to produce, check, review or approve mechanical design deliverables.
• Lead and/or support design and advisory services for water and wastewater conveyance and treatment assets.
• Ensure safety through design leadership and actions.
• Deliver technically within a multi-disciplinary team, in a mechanical design lead role when assigned.
• Identify and develop innovative, optimized technical solutions for client needs.
• Coordinate with process, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and ICA teams.
